I don’t like hunting the story…

I’m in that grey murky world of words floating around my head teasing me, each one enticing me with the promise of a story, yet none with the conviction to splurge out all over the keyboard.

It’s very annoying.

Right now, I have three (okay, maybe four), works on the go.  The first is almost finished, but won’t finish itself off.  Why?  What’s so difficult about writing action scenes?  The second is my 2012 NaNoWriMo, which I knew was really just a collection of scenes wandering around in the hope of tripping over a story sometime in the future.  And now, there’s a third that I’ve just started.

Why did I start something new, when I have others that need my attention?  I’m hoping that if I just keep writing whatever the words want to write, that there may eventually be enough of a mess all over the computer’s word processor that they’ll all merge together and form some serendipitous masterpiece.

Yeah, like that’s going to happen.

Come on “words”!  Buck your ideas up, or there will be trouble.
