Previously … Dangerous Journey …

In the style of the old serial cliffhangers, it turns out that the Doctor and Susan had already hidden in the overflow pipe.  Funny how this wasn’t seen last week.

Is the episode call “crisis” because “The Dangerous Telephone Receiver” wouldn’t have given the same impression?  Fortunately, the eventual reveal by Barbara that she’s been infected does increase the drama a touch, especially when the Doctor reveals (to us) that he’s unsure of whether he can get them back to full size.

The lighting of the gas jet worked very well, I thought.  The coincidence of it getting the villain is a touch too far, and the policeman turning up exactly at the right time allows the insecticide/murder story to end on its own without the TARDIS crew really getting involved.

Not sure why water in the TARDIS now comes in a glass.  It didn’t earlier in the series.  Also not sure why the enlarging at the end doesn’t affect the seed.  There’s nothing in the story to explain why it only affects the TARDIS crew.  If only the TARDIS crew enlarge to normal size such that the seed, and we presume the insecticide, is now 70x smaller, why isn’t the dirt on the crew 70x smaller after re-enlarging?

In short, an entertaining adventure into the bizarre interaction of a tiny TARDIS crew, but not one that’s going to rock anyone out of their socks any time soon.
